My 97 Eclipse RS is giving me electrical problems. First of all, my stero and my interior lights shut off one day both at the same time. Checked the radio fuses, which were all still good, but cant find the Interior light fuses. Where is this fuse located? Another thing is that both my driver and passenger side windows just didnt work one day. They both went out at the same time. I also noticed that my windows would still work even though the keys weren't in the ignition. Where they somehow connected directly to the battery. I replaced the fuse for the power windows, but still the windows would not operate. Please Help me with htis problem. Sucks having no music and no windows down while your cruzin down the road on a nice bright sunny ass day!!!

Hi,
I had a similar problem. It ended up being caused by my son using the tape player as a piggy bank. After six months of diagnostics the dealer finally pulled the headunit to find that a coin was put into the tape deck causing a short on an exposed circuit board. Everytime I would turn, the coing would slide over some solder joints and it would short something in the system. It affected the headlights and the radio. You may want to see if there is anything in your radio - even if it's CD player and not a tape deck.

Just a thought!

Checked The 2 fuses in the yellow storage connector, and they are both good fuses. Replaced the fused with brand new 10 AMP fuses, but there was no difference. What shall i do now?
