I just heard from Mitsubishi and the 2007 model Outlander will be larger and seat 7 passengers and be equipped with the 3.8L MIVEC engine.

Are they going to offer another vehicle that is the same size as the previous Outlander?

I was going to buy an Outlander in a few years, but not if it's going to be 7 passenger. I don't need that much room.

the new one will be sold with the 3.0L for the USDM.

JDM versions get the 2.4L MIVEC.

some scans from motor fan magazine covering the new outlander, comparing it as well with the CR-V and X-Trail GT. and the new one is a tad bigger than the one it replaces.

7 passenger seating will be available for some trims and is not standard on the base model. Besides, the last 2 3rd row seats are fold-aways, so you can always tuck it away.
