Good for people that can't download huge files - reasonably priced just to cover costs...

Whoops sorry

Not sure how that happened, I was replying in several forums where people were trying to find the CDs or English Manuals for the MMCS I must have somehow replied twice to the same message.

Out of interest I am also trying to source any of these almost mythical CD beasts that claim to convert the onscreen text of the MMCS to English - personally I think its an urban legend, the only people I've found on the internet that ever claim to have had them seem to have magically 'lost' the details of whoever they got them from - and others claim that a replacement ROM Chip is required. Anybody got a definitive answer?

Also, some people have claimed to be able to customise the MMCS startup logo etc, I think with some details of how to go about modifying the system CD ISO files we can start to look at other things too - such as replacing the map of Japan with the UK or NZ etc. Even if the map was pretty rudimentary at first ie. only drilled down to the scale of counties, that would still be more useful than showing us floating somewhere in the sea of Japan.

Does anyone else notice (at least here in the Southern Hemisphere) that the compass is off by about 45 degrees too?

In my business I am trying to find solutions to all these issues and offer them at the lowest possible price (along with all my other products) just to cover costs of CDs, printing and postage, etc. and provide a stable location where people can be sure they can go to get what they need.

If anyone has any information that might be useful let me know I'd like to get more MMCS solutions available to everyone !

I take it that there are no more leads to follow up regarding getting modifications to the MMCS system CDs? E.g. translation to English, adding other country maps, or ability to reconfigure clock timezone or the compass bearing?

With some documentation and examples, modded MMCS system / boot CDs could be made available to everyone here, but the deafening silence tends to make me think that customisations just cant be done... though some people have claimed to offer translated cds... my advice would be "buyer beware" I've not seen one in the flesh, and they seem to be urban legend.
