I can get about approx. 400 miles on a full tank. I drove from MD to NY and back on a one tank. Got to below "E" before I got home.

Does anyone know how many gallons (approx) are left when the fuel light comes on? The manual doesn't say.

That's pretty good. What about in town?

Never did in town driving enough to empty a full tank. I put about 500 miles a week for work (95% highway).

I just finished my first tank that i kept track of the mileage. I drove 360 miles, and had about 2 1/2 gallons left, so that's about 23-24mpg. Almost all my driving is city (minneapolis area) driving though, so that's not too bad.

I would say to you, as soon as that light comes on, you better start heading to the gas station. I have a 2004 Galant GTS, and I was parked in a friends driveway with the car running, with gas on the "E" line. Well, the car cut off! I has to roll down the end of the driveway so the car would cut back on. So I would guess, when you're on the "E" line, you don't have that much to go. Good thing there was a station around the corner. That was the only reason I was being so risky.
