Hey, im only a Sophomore in High School, but for the past few months I have fallen in love with the 3000GT. What im really wondering is why is everyone on the racing forum talking about Eclipse's? I would think that 3000GT's would be talked about more for racing, but im not sure, so any input would be helpful. a 3000GT would smoke an Eclipse wouldnt it? Thanks in advance.

Don't need to post the same thing twice big guy. People will reply. Sometimes it takes a bit.

EDIT: Or three times...

Think of it this way, the 90s eclipses cost $11,000 base. The 3000gt cost $29,000 originally (at least a 92 SL). Kids usually buy things under 5k as they have little to no budget. Given a steady rate of depreciation you should just now be seeing kids driving 3000gts. hahaha, hence me now owning one.

bump for what? more info?

A healthy stock 3000GT VR-4 with a decent driver should have it's way with any stock eclipse except maybe a GS-T from a roll on the highway.

As soon as you start talking modding cars it's only limited by who wants to spend more money.

I don't have enough experience racing the NA FWD, so your on your own for that one.

eclipses are cheeper to mod, and so far the fastest eclipse is around 2 seconds faster in the 1/4 than a 3S, they are lighter so they are better in autox. The 3S is a touring car, its nice on the inside, can go fast as **** while providing a very smooth ride. Stock for stock a 3000GT will rape an eclipse.
