I understand there's a TSB on this problem, but am unable to find it.

Substantial amount of water in the passenger side carpets.

A/C drain water is coming out of a hole in the underbody on the driver's side, about even with the front end of the catalytic converterand it is coming out of somewhere else in the same general area, but I can't see it. Crawling under car. May have to get it on a lift.

Is this the evaporator drain? Is there supposed to be a drain hose?

How'd the water end up on the passenger side floor?

Any info most gratefully accepted, as I really don't want to go through lifting the carpets again!

Thanks,
Howard

Yes there is a drain and when it gets clogged water will come out on the passenger side carpet. The tsb offers a in cabin air filter to stop debris from entering the evaporator housing. The filter kit can be purchased at any mitsu dealer.

Thanks for the info.

Where is the drain located, so that I can clean it out, which I presume should be done before installing the mod?

Also, as I mentioned, the A/C water is coming out of a hole in the underbody and from somewhere else in that area. Is that normal, or should there be a visible drain hose somewhere?

Thanks again for your help.

Howard

The drain is located on the lower firewall between the middle and passenger side. As for the water it will run down whatever path is easiest to drain under the car.
