I have just taken delivery of a 1994 RVR 2.0 - 4WD shipped straight from Japan to the Caribbean.

-how do you engage the 4WD?
-neither fog lamp seems to engage when activating the rocker switch on the dashboard - any ideas?
-jack and spanners were missing. Real struggle to reveal the 4 nuts under the outer cover of the wheel - finally succeeded with one, just to explore - discovered one nut is the locking type - no tool to loosen it - any ideas?

My Chariot has a fog light switch that I assumed was for rear fogs, but does nothing!

Are they front or rear, have you checked the bulbs? On the chariot there is a small flap near the boot door catch (on the floor almost), it folds down and the jack and spanners should be in there, held in place by a clamp that screws!

It is probably full time 4wd.
