in regards to turbo's..

I own a 2.4 gs 04. ive thought about stickig a turbo under the hood but every corner i go around a find a guy telling me not to do it due to the fact that the 2.4 cant handle the boost and will blow.. any idea as to what it is that i should do?.. i want the boost and added acceleration.. just dont wanna loose the motor in the process

Yeah. The stock internals and ports can't necessarily hold the boost. That's why you mod them. But if you were to turbo one Elcipse, it'd be more logical to do it to the four cylinder than the six. Only because it has more room and more potential.

I just wanted to say that tearstone.com used to be one of the best sites for 3g performance parts and modifications. but I recently visited the site, (its been about a year), and it basically doesn't exist anymore! they went from hundreds of quality parts to like 6 worthless items they now sell, guess this economy's taking its tole huh!? couldn't stay above water.

Actually it's because of a really good turbo kit that they had for awhile. They had 100's of orders and the supplier that was sending them the parts took all the money that they gave them for the turbos and split. And that's why tearstone is having such financial problems.
