i installed a new 255 fuel pump on my gs. it worked fine for a while. now the engine i bogging down if i give it more than 30% acceleration in second or higher gear. could the engine be too rich? or could the o2 sensor have gone out?

sounds like you are running rich. do you see black smoke coming out the exhaust when you accelerate?

you need to get to a dyno to see what your a/f ratio is. that will tell you if you are running rich or not. you should get a wideband O2 and a datalogger if you dont have a dyno anywhere around. that would also help you out with the SAFC tuning.

if you have your turboed installed and are not tuned, then i can bet that you are running rich. and this can foul plugs

the turbo isn't on yet. also, i don't think there is black smoke, at least to what i can see. i bogs down during acceleration. i tried cutting back the fuel and now it's really acting funky.

5spd or auto? if 5spd, it could be the clutch slipping

5 speed. and it's definitely not the clutch. it's acting up at just idle.

no, the airflow wire had to be cut in half and spliced into the safc. i disconnected the safc and reconnected the airflow wire to itself

another question...is your SES light on?

i am thinking that the fuel pump might be pumping too much gas which is causing you to run rich. i have asked a guy and im waiting for him to get back to me.

ok...so no SES light, nothing from the turbo kit except the fuel pump has been installed, this only started happening when you hooked the SAFC up?

did it start after you installed the fuel pump, or after you installed the SAFC?
