I've just had a new cam belt, water pump and other belts (alternator, power steering) fitted on 1995 Space Wagon 2.0 GLX. 10 days later the belts warble like a cricket at all sppeds all the time whilst acceleraring. I took it back to the garage that did the work, they took the belts off and turned alternator, power steering pump by hand and we started the engine without the belts and no noise. Put the belts back on, back came the warbling. Loosed the belts and less warbling, but the screaching(slipping) began a little. Loosed more and screached alot from start and then OK after that. Warbling is almost gone. However Screaching is of some concern so I don't want to leave it like that. Any advice?

Thanks
Mick

Try a good quality brand of belt, and also ensure they used the right type of belt. Have had similar problems myself.
