hi , we just bought a second-hand L300 sportpac 1991 van. It has a few problems which we would like some help to figure out.
Firstly when we got it it had a water leak behind the heater which is now fixed. It apparently has a "miss". some thought it could even be as serious as a cracked head but there is no tell-tale oil in the radiator nor water evident in the oil ...so far so good.
We drove it home ok but now we're having trouble starting,(got a real shock off the lead that goes to the middle of the distributor when trying to check for spark what does that mean?) the leads were very dirty so we cleaned them up a bit, couldn't get one off the spark plugs . possibly put back on in wrong order but don't think so , with a newly recharged battery it now turns over and over but doesn't fire.
any hints on what to check?
