OK anyone that can help, please listen up:

Just had my car in the shop today. Everything was working well, but after I got it back, I started noticing trouble lights on in the instrument panel... battery, anti-lock, etc. Turned off the car after getting home from the shop and the headlights started blinking, like I had the emergency lights on or something, but I didn't. I had a lunch date, so I had to just take off anyway and things seemed to work normal again, except the battery light and one other one would start to glow and then go out again.

Then, tonight I took it out for a spin. I noticed immediately that several trouble lights were on, battery, anti-lock, TCL, etc. Also, the clock, etc. went totally out. Seemed odd, but I just bought the car so I wasn't sure what it meant exactly. As I pulled out onto the main road and accelerated, it shifted a lot harder than normal; then the front headlights went out, the instrument panel went dim, and the car would intermittently "lurch" like the gears weren't working right and were trying to seize or something. Fortunately, it wasn't totally dark yet and I was able to limp home.

My son said he noticed while the car was at the dealership that the flat metal connector between the positive charge battery cable head and the wire harnesses looked like it had been almost completely severed. Is that's what's causing this? Did I damage the car's gears or computer or whatever? Posted below are some pictures to help you visualize what I'm talking about. Thanks for any help you can give.

sorry for the blurriness of the pics, but at least it gives a general idea/area that the problem is.

on the first pic, the white place is the spot with the frayed wires/whatever and the second is the dash.

i would take it back and ask what the **** they did.

i would get the battery and alternator checked. and get the battery terminals checked to make sure that you are getting full contact
