I would definately go for the evolution 8. The engine is awesome and the allwheel drive cant be beat. I know its more money, but it will be worth it in the long run. Especially if your planning on modding it and racing it.

SERIOUSLY ... EVO 8 no matter what...IF you live in Illinois go to amsperformance.com and see what they did with their own EVO's ... people travel states to come to IL and get their EVO's dynoed by AMS... My Eclipse loves when I go to AMS... and so will the MR im praying will come... the insurance on any car is insane especially since theirs weiner taxes cuz were guys... but gl

hey i would go for the evo 8. over here when i live at 16 on a full licence its around $1000 max for full cover on a turbo and i thought that was expensive until i was reading the replys. i have a 1500 dohc mirage and i pay $120 for full cover a year with discount under parents name. u should move from the states and come here for cheaper insurance :D
