with such a gigantic wheel, I would be concerned with rubbing the control arms, nevermind finding a tire that is going to fit correctly so as not to throw your speedometer off by much. I'm thinking a 205 or 215 with an aspect ratio of 35, or even a 30 if you are trying to get a tread width of 235 or 245. Whatever it is, I don't even know what tires are available in that size, if any. Before you even bother trying to figure out width and offset of the wheel, have you already considered if there are going to be tires to fit in the range of possible wheel dimensions?

I hope you don't plan on lowering your car.

well i prolly am not gonna lower it. I might consider it, but then i'd just use 18' rims, instead of my current 17'

i would use 18's or 19's. the eclipse isnt an SUV. theres no reason to put 'dubs' on your eclipse

erm, that looks like a truck wheel to me....

have you considered the implications of putting such a huge wheel on your car??... besides rubbing or not fitting at all, that wheel probably weighs a ton and will affect acceleration as well as braking performance....

well, I would say 18's should be the max, not 20's like you originally said...

and chrome is heavy.....so if they are chrome, but very light, it might not be a great chrome job.......but more than likely, they are kinda heavy, does it tell you how much they weigh?

it would also depend on what he thinks light is. light to me is 20lbs or less a piece. to him, light could be less than 50lbs a piece

ShowoffGT.... http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php...light=showoffgt

i never said they wouldnt fit. and i never said that nobody has done it. im just saying that the eclipse isnt an SUV and that it doesnt need 20" chrome wheels on it. if you want to do it, go ahead. dont let anybody tell you what to do with your car.
