im pretty sure i know what alot of you all will say "it'll come down to the driver"
thats all i want to know basically if thats the truth cuz i think im beat unforunately

honda= new cat back exhaust, racing headers,short shifter

eclipse= a big CAI (dont want to put anything else on mine since im saving for a turbo

i believe were about same hp/torque range about 145-150 (i know not much but were young with low paying jobs)

i think i would lose because i have highway raced him plenty of times ie. 50 mph say go drop it down take off. i usually lose though because his car has better pick up since eclipses are heavier


basically i think that the only way ill win is if he burns out and i get a clean start(my car usually just wheel hops twice and then im gone)

but do you all think it'll just be a driver race or what do you all think

P.S. only reason i wanna know is because its my friend and he has been bugging me to race him but for $100 (again were young so thats alot :P)

i had the same prob. my friend has an 89 accord and thought he could beat me. take that bet. run it to redline and you got it. then make him feel like crap about it. :gunsmilie:

oh i forgot only if you have manual tranny if not do not race him

Yeah thats like my friend. He has a 90 accord and thinks he's a fast boy lol. I will race him sometime soon and BTW i have an auto.

hondas respond to mods ALOT better than n/t eclipses. he probably gained a good amount of power from those few mods. and you do not have the same amount of torque. hondas are notorious for having very very little torque(usually less than 100ft/lbs). you should be able to get him off the line if you have a manual, but it will probably be a close race.
