Hi everyone, new here, I personally don't own a Mitsu, but a buddy has an 01 Eclipse vert GT with the Inifinity headunit, we're installing an aftermarket deck tomorrow and just browsing around here for some tips. I'm looking at the how-to on removing the deck from the car. It appears that the panel containing the headunit and HVAC controls comes off as one piece. Is it snapped in or held with screws? I haven't yet taken a good look at it.

next question, it appears I need a PIE adapter for a stock amp. as per this thread: http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/index.php...5753&hl=adapter

Is this the norm for all '01 models?

Thanks for any help.

to remove the middle part of the dash, there are two screws down by the cubby hole. take those out and it pops right off. dont forget about the hazzard light connection when taking it off.

yes, you will need the pie adapter. its needed for all infinity sound systems(in the eclipse) if you are replacing the HU but want to keep the stock amp.

I applaud you for searching.
