I have a 2003 Outlander with 50,000 miles on it. Recently, the air conditioner will blow warm air while idling (like at a red light). As soon as you give it gas and get the RPM's above 1500, it starts blowing cold again.

Also, wasn't there a recall - something about the fan switch. I could have sworn I got a notice about a year ago but we moved and I forgot about it.

I have an '04 Mivec engine Outlander, so the fan recall wasn't for me, but here's a thread that discusses it...

As far as AC, it's an interesting thing you've got. Hopefully, you still have some warranty. My friend has a Montero sport that has had the AC go out on him completely more than once.

Sounds like you need a recharge and add dye to find a leak.
