Hi All

With all leaded or LRP fuel being phased out in Australia consumers of older cars are being forced to use unleaded petrol with a additive such as flashlube valve saver fluid (www.flashlube.com.au).

My question is that I am not sure whether I should be using regular unleaded or premium unleaded petrol with this additive?

I quote from the flashlube website:

"Many pre-1986 engines do not require a high-octane fuel and run extremely well using unleaded petrol*. With Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid added to petrol the risk of valve and valve seat wear is greatly reduced. Because of pistons and ring wear many high compression engines do not have the original high compression any more and do run quite well on unleaded fuel. The cost to treat a tank of fuel is minimal considering the high cost of head repairs, replacement or illegal engine modification.
N.B: * Contact your Vehicle manufacturer to find out if your car requires Standard or Premium Fuel. "

Does anyone know where the 1984 Mitsubishi Nimbus fits into this??

Any help appreciated.
