I don't know much about the Endeavor.. yet, but I was just wondering if anyone had any tranny problems. I'm concerned about the longevity of the tranny because of the "tiptronic" feature. Just to be on the safe side, I was thinking of purchasing a transmission cooler. What do you guys think?

I don't know the answer to your question but can tell you that the tranny cooler is a good idea especially if you plan to tow with it. I put one on mine the beginning of summer and have been towing my PU camper without any problems but it is only around 2500#.

I have a 2005 Endeavor. Occasionally, when I come to a stop, and then place it in reverse, it will make a shudder before going backwards. It won't do it every time, so of course the Dealer can't be shown. I come to a full stop, so it's not like I'm trying to shift while still moving. Anyone else?

I just checked with my dealership. I was looking at adding trailer hitch and wanted a tranny cooler for that. Well, I was please to discover that the Endeavor comes with a cooler and has from day one.

The Endeavor has mitsubishi's sport tiptronic transmition but has been toned down for a luxury shift. This is the cause of most basic problems, think of it like retarding your timing too far, it works but not quite rite. I used a power programmer to adjust air/fuel and change the shift points on the tranny, thats when I found out that it was way retarded to get more torque. After adjusting int to a more sporty setting I lost 1...ONE whole foot pound of torque, its not even noticable and the tranny shifts quicker and harder.
