I drove my car for about 1/2 hr w/o any problems. I made a stop & once I put the car on drive, it was sluggish. After about 1 mn, it would pick up speed. Every time I would stop, it would be the same story...My A/T warning ligt came on. I checked the fluid level, it was acceptable and there weren't any leaks under the car.
I used an ODBII scan tool & got a code P1715, I reset the code & I drove my car for about 2 mns w/o any problems.
I am told that I might have to replace the TCM...

Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone faced this issue before and what resolutions came out of it?

I am looking forward to hearing from someone. :D

Have you had your transmission fluid replaced recently? If so make sure it was replaced with "Diamond ATF Type SP". I had my Montero overheating everytime I drove it more than 1/2 hour. Update post if anything changes and GL. Hope this helps.
