Alright guys, I:m very new to the mitsubishi van scene. i live over here in the states, and I will be picking pu a 1987 mitsubishi van with the 4g64 wideblock. As far as I can tell, the states only got this van for 2 years.. 1987-1988.

I believe its calle dthe starwagon in australia, but I am not 100% sure.

Anyways, we only got them with the automatic, and 24g64 wideblock. I really wanted this to be a 5 speed, and I hear you guys down in australia got quite a few of these vans with 5 speed transmissions. I also heard they use the same k124 transmission from the g54bs and wideblock 4g63 sohc engines. This would work out great since I have 4 starions, and 3 extra 5 speed transmissions, and a bunch of other parts.

So I guess im asking, is it plausible to try and get a australian master cylinder and pedal assembly, along with shift linkage and shifter, and attempte to drop a starion transmission into one of these?

Here is a picture of one.

Have you checked the delica owners websites on the net? I think there is an american one which would give you local info. Ohterwise it could be arranged, but try local first. Any probs email me direct
