Hi everybody!

I'm a 2003 2.0 4WD Outlander spanish owner and I like dirty a lot. All we know the off road limits of this SUV, so I was thinking about to install a lift suspension kit. Is it possible? Where I can find a lift kit for the Outlander? Is it possible to put a large tires on my car? (I broke two rims...)

Thank you very much!
Westy

There are very few aftermarket parts that will help the Outlander get dirty. As a matter of fact, it took a lot of searching just to find a crash bar available for the car. Being that you have a 2003 I can't say for sure, but the 04 MIVEC did not like taller tires. I replaced my tires with 215/70/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T's and the car would only get 16 mpg. I know my torque curve doesn't really open until 3k rpm's, so I couldn't imagine having any larger tires on it. Those same tires rubbed the inner wheel well at full turn an Mitsubishi said they would void my warranty if I did not change them back. I put the 225/70/16's on and I got 19mpg on my last tank(first one since the return to factory size tires). The bottom line is the car was never made to handle anything more than an occasional dirt road, mudbath, or snow storm. I would not recommend upgradin to larger tires...but there are no lift kits. Sumitomo has some decent looking tires with an all terrain tread that have a pretty decent rating and are cheap. Good Luck
