Yes I know, I got into computers really early. Before this I was leasing a 05' mazda 3 and my dad saw a great deal on the eclipse. So i traded in the mazda and now im paying it off. It is my car and I pay for it, but it is in my dads name, due to the freaking incrediable insurance rates.........

The programmer for sony is a joke, I do work with computers though, for a small company outside my town. Im also trying to get a job at best buy as the comp tech there.

LOL, thanx Mathew pd77, o man

I just turned 27 in Oct. and got my 06 for my B-Day and m hubby keeps telling me that it a "Girl Car" and its for teens, But he cant stop driving it. Heck he drives it way, way more than I do and he's 30. Of course I tell him when I teen can pay for it then I'll believe that it's a "Teen Girl Car" So no matter how old any of you are, enjoy the car cause it is beautiful.

I'm 18 here. Brought back one of these in Titanium Pearl less than a week ago, a GT too. I'm gonna be broke for a while, but I'm loving the car, really satisfied with the purchase.

It came out mad low too. Don't remember the exact figure.. If I'm not mistaken, got it for $25250. That's a manual GT with the PS and FX packages. During one of our visits, I went through the dealers papers and found how much they're getting it for- roughly $24500. That was at a quick glance, so I'm not sure of the exact figure. It was definitely in the $24k's though.

Slacker...if I read your post correctly...you consider middle aged 18-29? So you perceive life expectancy to be 36-58? You wouldnt happen to live near a nuclear power plant or bio hazardous waste dump by chance! :)

Sorry about that i was half asleep when i was typing. but now that i think about it i think there might be 2 different gaps. 18-28 and even a 50+. reason i think this is all the older guys (not putting down females) like to have BIG toys like cars. Most drive the fancy things that if they were a person between 18-28 they would want to buy them so there trying to relive there life a little. im not asleep now and i had my coffee.

I'm 22 ...

I didn't even pay attention to the Eclipse until I walked on the lot... maybe I'm mentally older than my physicality or something but the looks of this car attracted me from inside a show room and probably over 60 yards.... I literally left the sales person in mid-sentence and just walked outside and started pointing at the car that caught my eye asking "what is that.... that one.... what is that?" the sales man's response was "thats the new eclipse" to which I believe I said something along the lines of "SHUT THE $&*% UP!" ...... 2 days later I bought it.

I got the GS model though... it was either a barebones GT or a fully loaded GS... and I spend more time in traffic listening to music and taking business calls than I do racing tricked out civics ....... so I just got the 4Cyl with the Sun and Sound package (which doesn't include Tint might I add) and a few other packages ... came out to about $24,200 after everything was signed.

I must mention though... out of the other 06 Eclipse owners I have seen 1 was a 24-26ish Guy.. another was a 19-21ish girl ... for all of our sakes... lets hope the highschool teenie boopers parents get them a civic instead of this beauty of a vehicle ;)

P.S. I actually recieved a "nice car" compliment from a guy in a Porsche 911 Carrerra while sitting at a stop light about 2 weeks ago... made my day ;)

Wouldnt want us midlife crisis guys taking the cool away from the 4G.

Well, I don't know about that...but honestly, I only see older people driving Vettes, anyway, because they are the only ones who can afford them. I don't believe in the term 'mid-life crisis'. I just see people driving what they want or can afford. I drive a Lancer because it's economical, personally, I would firebomb the car the first chance I got to collect insurance money!
