I have an 05 Lancer with the Infinity Sound system. The car did not come with the Infinity Sound package. I purchased the Amp, Sub and HU off ebay.

It required a lot of work to upgrade to the Infinity Sound, or to integrate an aftermarket HU with the Infinity Sound.

There should have been three leads coming out of the factory HU: a DIN cable, the antenna cable, and the wiring harness.

The DIN cable runs directly to the Infinity Amp. All of the speaker wires run from the amp, not the HU.

I would check other postings, but I don't believe anyone has installed an aftermarket HU on a Mitsubishi with the Infinity Sound Package, without removing the factory amp and running new wires for the stereo.
