QUOTE 3G GT, stratus R/T, and sebring LXi all have the same engine Some other funny tidbits... The 2.4 SOHC from Chrysler/Dodge in the Stratus/Sebring and the Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.4 SOHC are two different engines... The 3.0 SOHC V6 that Mitsubishi Eclipses use and Stratus R/T coupe and Chrysler Sebring LXi Coupes use are the same, however, Sebring LXi sedans and convertibles use the same 2.7 DOHC found in the Stratus R/T sedan... The Stratus R/T/Sebring Coupe are based off of the OLD Galant platform... The 95-00 Sebring LXi/Stratus ES/Avenger Sport/ES used a 2.5 SOHC V6, while the Avenger Base/Sport/ES 4 Cyl./Stratus SE/Sebring LX used a 2.0 DOHC, same engine in the Neon and the 95-99 N/A Eclipse...the 1st gen Eclipse used a N/A 4G63... Yeah, I have too much time on my hands, but this is what happens when your family all drive Mopar and you drive a Mitsubishi!

QUOTE(utiheadbanger @ Oct 1 2005, 01:51 PM) The 95-00 Sebring LXi/Stratus ES/Avenger Sport/ES used a 2.5 SOHC V6, while the Avenger Base/Sport/ES 4 Cyl./Stratus SE/Sebring LX used a 2.0 DOHC, same engine in the Neon and the 95-99 N/A Eclipse...the 1st gen Eclipse used a N/A 4G63... umm... nope, sorry, didnt happen. some 1st gen N/A eclipses used a Mitsu SOHC 1.8L engine, but that was the 4G6.. most of the N/A DSMs used a Chrysler 420A engine, not a Mitsu engine at all. N/A GS Sypders and (i believe) the Talon ESi got a Mitsu engine called the 4G64 that was a 2.4L version of the N/A 4G63. all of the turbo'd DSMs did use a 4G63 but Mitsu added a "T" to the designation to denote that it was a turbo'd model, however, the 4G63 found in an Evo isnt considered "T" model, despite its turbos... confusing? **** yes. pointless? that too
