I am chaging the serpentine belt as we speak after a couple of tries the belt seems to be too tight. I just want to make sure that I routed the belt corectly. I am looking for a drawing or diagram with the pulleys and belt. 2001 Montero XLS I thank you in advance for any help.

Thanks a bunch!!! After many failed attempts at auto-parts stores, not having the service manual available, I finally went to the library and checked [I][I][I]Chilton's book, The drawing was incorrect!!! It showed three belts!!!

Is this for the 3.5? I have to change the timing belt in my girlfriends montero and im trying to gather info. Im thinking it is the 3.0 as that was more popular but not sure yet.
Anyone out there guide me to a how to?
Ive never done a timing belt before as all my cars have had timing chains.
From what I can tell I need to remove radiator and battery and font end junk, then remove the serpintine belt and junk then remove the timing belt and junk, and replace belt and while im in there replace water pump and tensioner, then put it back together...but like I said a how to would help as I dont even have a manual...
Thanks
