Hey guyz i have a question. I have a 2002 eclipse gs with no mods everything is stock. Heres my question i wanted to knwo if a stock gs eclipse is able to beet a 92-95 Honda civic ex with a turbo and cold air intake and a 96-98 Honda EX with a supercharge. Also i want to start modding up my car does anyone knwo what i should put in first.

you would lose to both of them more than likely. your gs is only a 4 cyl either a 1.8 sohc or a 2.4 i believe is in the 4 cyl model which either is only pushing around 140 to the crank compared to the honda's which is pushing like close to double if not on the turbo and the SC i dont know but would be faster unless the drivers of both the honda's are horrible and miss shift and you shift perfectly

also the turbo will cost your around $5k and the cai will cost like $110.
im a 2g eclipse so i dont know who makes the 3g turbo but for a CAI you can get AEM or injen or more but those are probably the most known but put it this way a pipe is a pipe as long as its the same size its going to pull the same as the more expensive one

there is no sense in comparing stock non-turbo cars to turbo cars. you will lose by a considerable margin.

also, a CAI will give you about 7hp. a turbo will give you about 60-70whp at 6psi. do you see the difference? there is a reason that the turbo will cost more. search around this forum. i have posted the link to a turbo kit numerous times.
