QUOTE(Budmoy @ Sep 23 2005, 01:48 AM) Ok so last weekend my friends were being a **** about my car that it was a girl car. So I told them i would beat every one of them on a one to one with there cars. So we went on the race track paid 20 bucks and I beat the Crap out of each one of them. Ok this is what i don;t get I know my eclise can beat the impala there is no comp there and the Jetta GLI but the GrandAmGT now that was a surprise i beat the **** out of it. I thought it was going to be close but no the GrandAm Gt is just a piece of crap. Anyone Explain that? you explained it very well urself lol, the grand am is a POS.. even the Grand Prix GTP (supercharged) is still a sled. they're too heavy and dont produce enough torque to get out of their own way. they do have reasonably good suspension and handling though

QUOTE ive ridden in one of those GTP supercharged Grand prix. Heavey but i was suprised how it stayd on the road I think the reason for that is this: QUOTE even the Grand Prix GTP (supercharged) is still a sled. they're too heavy and dont produce enough torque to get out of their own way. they do have reasonably good suspension and handling though :P Oh, by the way...the Grand Am GT, if it's the last body style that came out...is a DOG. The SE2, with the 3.4L V6, produces 170HP, the GT2 with the same 3.4L V6 and Ram-Air produces 175HP! WOW...what an increase! This is why the General is losing money on it's cars...that and ALL of the older cars that they reinvented either have pushrod 3.8L V6's or 4.4L 327 V8's and are FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE! QUOTE still a sled Ho ho ho type? haha
