I would like to put a REAL cd player/dvd/nav in my eclipse. I am thinking of making some sort of custom 2-din remake of the stock panel.

If I made a few of these, would there be any interest in buying some?

Maybe even a carbon-fiber version?

Yeah, I'd be interested, depending on how it turns out. I'm considering installing a carputer in place of a radio.

I'm interested in seeing your efforts too because I don't have the skill to make a dash replacement, but I'd love to do an aftermarket stereo system.

why not just leave it there and use an rf modulator and wire up your own system.

RF systems loose a small amount of clarity. I want to do a real system.
