whats stock psi on a 1st gen and 2nd gen (there are just 2 gens right? pop up headlight and projector)

how much boost can the stock engine handle? -how much power would max boost make?

91-93 <pop-up headlight> first gen ~9 psi.
94-99 <fixed headlight> second gen ~11~12 psi.

some say the 99 is it's own gen, but they only changed cosmetic things.

niether gen will hold more than 9 psi to redline. the 9b turbos cannot flow enough. Unless you have a 3000GT in england and got the optional (I believe) 13T turbo. I don't know what that one does.

power is not always boost. leave the stock exhaust on the car, and you'll have a hard time getting air out. you'll make lots of boost, but be loosing power.

If your asking how much power the stock engine can handle I'm probably running somewhere between 450~500 hp, and there is still more left on the table.

The problem is getting all the supporting mods there, such as enough fuel, controlling the engine, intake and exhaust (more than an airfilter and a fart can.)
