I have a set and not had time to get them installed

Alignment was a total cluster! Mitsu has no specs available for the 4G so you dont know where you are starting. We should have taken the car next door to the shop that was going to do the alignment before we installed the springs.
My question to the performance shop was can you get the specs from Mitsu because the alignment shop didnt have them. They assured me that they could. They were unable to get the specs and were given specs for an '05. I was not told they didnt use the '06 specs until 3 days later when I asked how they got the specs when Mitsu didnt have them.

The alignment shop ended up having problems with there equipment not getting consistant reading so they got as close to the specs given and quit and did not charge for the work.

The following morning I went to another shop with the specs that I was given not knowing they were actually for an '05. The set all the specs to the '05 range.
They confirmed that the right front camber was at -0.7 and the left was 0.0...I was told that the -0.7 would cause excessive tire wear and I needed some cam style camber bolts. I got hosed on the bolts at $45.00 each and needed 2 and the labor was $90.00 to install the 2 bolts plus the $64.95 standard alignment price.
When all was said and done the final specs were left 0.0 and right -0.4
Seemed like a rip off to me to only get +0.3 adjustment out of the bolts. The alignment guys came to the conclusion the cam bolts didnt have big enough cams and there were no others options listed.

So I have no clue whether or not the car is in spec. I do know it handles, tracks and turns in well!

I spoke with Eibach and they had no clue what the stock alignments specs were. They never did a before and after check. At the same time they assured me the specs I was running shouldnt cause any tire wear problems and should be fine.

So a word to the wise! It only cost $24.95 to have your actual alignment specs checked before you install the springs. The information would be very helpful to the rest of us. Especially me!!!! Mitsu tells me it will be at least 6 months before they have alignment specs.

Needed camber bolts for the front. No clue what brand or degree camber bolts. Firestone did the alignment and their supplier only offered one brand and size that would fit the car. There just isnt a lot out there for the 4G when you start getting into the mechanicals.

I when to have my set installed and the front was the wrong ones, the factory springs is 7 3/4 across the botton of the of the springs, the Eibach pro kit 6036-140 is 7 1/4 across, this leave 1/4 space on each side of flange. so the installer said these were the wrong springs for this car.
do you have space on your botton flange? Man what a day 4 hours for nothing.

Interesting! So I guess we are saying two different dealerships either don't have a manual or arent willing to give there customer the specs for an alignment. It is a fact that the Hunter Alignment software doesnt have the update at the dealer. It is no big deal to manually enter the specs. Its a shame that Mitsu would rather tell me if I brought my car in they wouldnt have the specs to align it.

One more thing to have to jack with. I will get out there and measure mine. The front does have a very minor creak sound. The originals springs were completely silent!

Should be interesting to hear what Eibach has to say about your findings.

Well I have the exact same situation. Just finished getting the measurements. My super ace installer never mentioned it. He actually said they fit and seated well! At least the coil ends butt up to the seat well. Guess its a call to Eibach on monday!
Thanks for the heads up...

I called Performance Center and they called Eibach, they know that there is problem, but it should not be a problem but would not put it in writing. So I am returning my set. they said they would be putting out the correct size set in DEC.

That means they do not matchup right, the factory springs 7 3/4 across the bottom of spring, the Eibach is 7 1/4, this leave a 1/4 of play side to side, this is not good.

I let work get in the way of taking care of my personal business yesterday!
I will have to call Mark at Eibach today. I am sure I will here the, "they will work fine the way they are story but we are changing in Dec." They will make it my option and expense for labor to make the swap. Should be another $150 or so down the drain plus my time waiting around.

I just wonder what has happen at Eibach. Releasing a new product that is dimensionally incorrect. That is pretty darn basic stuff!

Just spoke with Eibach. I have been assured that the smaller diameter front spring is not a problem. They have beaten on there test mule and there have been no issues because of the diameter. They are coming out with a spring that will match the factory diameter and the target date for release is in Dec. He added that the only reason they are coming out with the new design is because some intallers wont install the existing design because of the difference in diameter. He also added that is only a target date. As many of you have dealt with Eibach may have noticed they seldom meet there target dates. Mark mentioned it could be some time after Dec.
My direct question was, " Can you see any reason, performance, safety or otherwise that I should remove the springs and return when the new design is released."
His response was, "Only if its going to bother you knowing it is a smaller diameter. No functional reason."
So guess I will keep the front springs in place until there is a functional issue.
