I just got My remote with an instruction from ebay(www.stores.ebay.com/remotesuperstore)

I followed the instruction connecting Pin#1 to Pin#4 in the Data Link Connector
while putting the ignition to off

and then turn it to acc after closing all doors

and then turn it back to off... and it says...door locks should lock/unlock...

but nothing happens...- -;; is there something wrong??

or is it possible that i got the wrong remote...it looks just the same as the last one that i lost - -;;

Please respond...Thanks...

You probably got a broken remote like I did from ebay.

I was looking for replacement keyless entry remotes not too long ago and I found a site that had them really cheap for my Eclipse and Montero.

I had them delivered in less than a week and the programming instructions only took maybe 10 seconds?

Anyways, here's a link to the site:

Just click the Mitsubishi category, or type ECLIPSE in their search box.

I am looking for the instructions, I got a remote but the instructions only apply for lock/unlock buttons... I also need to program the trunk and panic buttons... Thanks in advance for your comments.

You sure you have a receiver that works with the other buttons? When you program a remote and some buttons work, either the remote has broken buttons, or your receiver does not have the panic or trunk option to recognize those buttons.

I couldn't get that order to work for me. I had to have all my doors closed first then jump pin 1 and 4 with the key already in the off postion, followed by hitting the hazard button six times. That got me into programming mode.

Just did this on a 2000 Eclipse - worked like a charm.

1: With the key in the ignition (key off) and all doors closed, ground pin 1 of the DLC connector. (Same as jumping pin 1 to pin 4...Pin 4 is ground. Due to the location of DLC, I found it easier to just use 1 wire to ground pin 1)

2: Immediately, press the hazard switch 6 times. (on and off 3 times...) Locks will operate to acknowledge programming mode.

3: As soon as locks operate, press lock button on new remote and release. Pause a couple of seconds, then press lock button on remote again twice and release. Locks will again operate to acknowledge programming.

4: Remove ground jumper from DLC connector.

5: Remove key from ignition switch. (Remote won't work with key in switch)

Remote should now work.

If this helps you out, you can email me a beer.

Same here... I've tried everything. It never enters programming mode. What's going on?
