I am an evo newbie, but definitely not an import tuning or forums newb......im sure you're sick of this same old beaten thread, but i havent been able to find the answers i need before purchasing....

1.) which model exactly do you suggest buying (used)? what are the differences between years and models as far as suspension setups/limited slips/ ect...im looking to make it run in the mid to low 12s, nothing too extensive, it is also going to be my daily driver.

2.) how reliable are these cars from an owners point of view? i know maintenance cost are high with the need of a higher octane gas and full synthetic oils, but what about the clutch, factory turbo setup...how often do problems occur?

3.) how fast is it really? ive never gotten to get on it really hard or launch hard, but ive seen specs of 0-60 in 4.4 and 1/4 mile times of low 13s, is this all about right?

4.) do any of the models come with HIDs? how is winter driving?

5.) what are good aftermarket websites for the car? Is the list of approximated whp #s given by each mod (ie downpipe, 3" exhaust w/ straight pipe, boost controller, replacing turbo manifold w/ aftermarket, intake ect...)
