My one year old ripped out my lighter and I need to replace/repair the entire socket. How do I remove the dash to do so?

hey man, that sucks...

To remove the dash you need to take off the AC controls and remove the screws there. Then its all clip ons. To remove the lower part of the dash its only clipped on but i found it easier to take the whole thing off and then un clip the bottom part. hope it helps

"Our power outlet just quit working...

Is there no other way to replace the indash 'lighter' plug than to remove the dash? Yikes!!"

This morning I tried removing the screws from behind the A/C controls, but nothing below the A/C controls would come loose. Anybody have an idea as to how to get that pesky thing out?

Thanks!

Hello...When u fix U'r lighter and hawe u'r dasch remowed.Put 2 extra 12 volt socket hiden on the passenger side...One old big socket and one new small socket....Put them on allways power..Then u are prepared for the future...
If u use a portable navigator it really suck's to hawe to wait for it to restart after a break at a gas station. Sometimes the phone needs a charge when the car is parked... Its safer to charge a invisible phone with no connection to aschtray, and it always looks better if wires comes from under the dasch than from the aschtray...
