Hello,
Does anyone know of a rack system that will work on the 2006 Eclipse? Specifically, I need something that can hold 1-2 bikes or 1-2 sets of skis.

I think a roof rack would look rather odd, so a hitch seems like the way to go. But, I'm concerned that a hitch might void the warranty.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate them! Thanks!

- Jes

hello
just put a hitch on my 1 day old gs- i carry mountain bikes around
easy job- drill four holes through trunk 5 bolts and done -about 1 hour if you are good at mechanical things
etrailer.com
buy the drawtite hitch and get the drawbar- the hitch was 87$ +8$ shipping to pa
i had the drawbar from my 2003 which was fine
real pro installation- you can get the mounting directions on line before you buy or email me- i'll send them to you.
the hitch is very inconspicuous.
dealer offered to have it installed for price of 125$ but i knew i could do it easily and cheaper
will not void warranty

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that I did go ahead and install the hitch that Bob recommended. It was not very difficult (except for ratcheting down the nuts behind the bumper fascia!), and took about 45 minutes. It's also barely noticable. The only thing visible from behind the car is the receiver itself, and that's black and sits in front of a piece of the frame anyway. It also works beautifully for bikes and skis.

Just thought some of you might be interested...
