I got out of that one wicked little car (With the V6of course) and the 1st thing that that come to my mind (after I stop shake'n like a leaf and Grinn'n like a Chesa Cat) was Porsche???
That thing is really really fast but the price is high as a Skyscraper them guys told me because I am soo upside down in my car they wanted 10,000 down to keep my payments down to $357.00 whch is what I am paying now and still owe approx $11,000 on my 99 Eclipse even with only 62000 on the OD he still said no dice.
I thought Mitsubishi wanted us to come back on the showroom floor but with only $500.00 as a reward for being a loyal customer that's not much of an incentive :shades:
Oh well I'll have my little toy paid off in approx 1 year then I a free a from a life as a slave from one bank then I save up straight cash mabey by then they will wrap the tail light back around the back like they did in the Second Generation then I'll be more motivated to buy it, it still looks tooo Darn much like the 00-05 and that's not good.
And if they do install Sat Radio as they said they may do in the 07's they need to give us a choice instead of ramming what they think we should have down our throats, there are two companys ya know?
The stearing was tight and you step on the gas and your neck will snap and that's no joke!!!
Don' like those front little side windows remind me of an old 81 Chevy only upside down
Interior was ok pleasing to the eye took a while to get used to looking at it don't know why??
Overall aside from the tail light, little windows and XM radio they got it right this time.
Like Arnold said in that big block buster movie..."I'll be back"... :gunsmilie:

I agree. Are you trying to say that you test drove a new eclipse, and thought it was fast?

or a porsche?

I must have missed that memo...

take a porsche 911 turbo out, and you will never look at the new eclipse the same way again.

there is kinda quick, and then there is fast. the two are not interchange-able.

;)

porsche are soooooooooooooooooooooo ugly!!! I don't know why people get such raging boners over those cars. There are plenty of cars you can make faster and still come in much lower than the cost of a 911 turbo. in my opinion Porsches and corvettes are for middle aged men having a mid-life crisis. I HATE PORSCHES!!! (just my OPINION so don't start harping about their specs and 0-60 and top end, i don't care.)

Personally I'd agree that the new Porsches are yawn inspiring. My dad has a 1996 911 C4S. It's fun to drive, but I've driven faster and more comfortable cars, like my brothers BMW 525.

On the other hand, when I was looking to get a new (or newer) car, I went to the local dealership (VW, Toyota, Mitsubishi) and the guy tried to get me to buy a 03 Eclipse GT. I sat in it, I test drove it, and I wasn't too impressed. Poor visibility, not too powerful, nothing to write home to mom about. My worn out Supra (non turbo) had more pep than that car.

The Eclipse was never intended to be a fast car. If you want a fast car, get an EVO.

Noop not harp'n about em just the power was very very much the same at least it felt that way, Porsche's look snazzy to me but not as sharp or cheep as the Eclipse :)
I love the eclipse O6 V6 I'm gonna try to get one ASAP I just found an Insurance Co. that will give me low low low rates on the 06 now all I gotta do is wait till the guard at the bank steps out to lunch to go in and get my down payment:gunsmilie:

Not meant to be fast? A stock 2G turbo is plenty fast (don't know about 3rd gens at all). And with just a few bolt ons you're really smokin'! I don't dispute that Evos are nice but don't try and say Eclipses weren't meant to be fast, it hurts our feelers. ;)

~low whistle~ wow. That's um...that's a nice car. Is it as fast as the McLarren F1? Anyway, the CCR i looked at is a nice orange color (i love orange). Was reading the specs, it was all in kilometers as far as speed goes, but i figured (if i did my math right) that the top speed is 240mph. And 806HP is none too shabby. I bet one of those would set you back what, a million and a half?

And me no Babble this time me tell good story bout my good time n 06 Mitsubishi Eclipse Pappa San :)
This car company should be nick named the comback kid if the sales increase as expected.
I was listening to SW and 3 cars are listed as Valuble or cars that will hold value for a very long time, 2 or 3 were Hybreds and the new Vet was listed as well.
Seems to me that if Mitsu wants to get on that list it needs to put out the Eclipse as originaly as planned as an all wheel drive with the hybred rear axel system putting 475hp to the ground.
Mabey they'll do that in the Spyder 07 let's cross our fingers and hope they do :)

its hit a top speed of 242mph which beat the record of the F1 by 1mph. the 806hp engine is in the Guiness Book of World Records for most powerful production street legal engine. i think the price tag is about $700k. it is hand-built with a complete carbon fiber body(much like the Enzo). i saw it one TLC on day on a show called "The World's Fastest".

the best thing i love about the car is the doors. if you search on google, you might find a website that will show a demo of how the doors work.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that english isn't Fullmoon's first language. Am I correct in this assumption or are you just in need of hooked on phonics?

That's Ebonics! :) ...Sorry about the weird spelling but I have been away from the classroom for some time now.
I was much better back in the good ol days :blush-anim-cl:
Sometimes I use Webster but not when I gotta deliver auto parts across country in a rush :)
