Did you release the handbrake before you were driving?

Have someone drive behind you to see if you rear brake lights are doing the same. Then let me know.

rear brake lights shouldn't turn on with the parking brake... or are you thinking something different...?

Push down on the brake while accelerating to see if it's coming up just a hair... maybe...?

With your car in park pull the handbrake; does the light come on? Does it go out when you release it? If not, there is a little switch underneath the center consol that I believe the handbrake pivots against. You might want to check that. I posted a diagram of it for you in my garage.

why would you assume that it's the handbrake if it's under acceleration?? dude, check the fluid

OK, yes the fluid is a possibility, but I ruled that out because the light apparently goes off at third gear. Repeatedly at third; they did not say, so I rule out engine heat, causing fluids to expand, therefore lifting the float (but on 3rd gear all the time?). Does the break fluid level sensor decide that everything's fine at third gear or what? That's why I would assume check the continuity of the parking brake switch, if anything is obstructing it or the wiring harness to the right of the stick shift lever that leads to the switch. The fluid sensor and the parking brake switch are the only two things that I can think of that will make that light go on. Everything else seems to fall on the ABS warning light. Maybe worn break pads? Stuck fluid sensor float (lightly push down on it with a clean stick)? Anyway, I'm not assuming the hand break, but the handbrake switch. It would be nice to actually see the car.

if it's under acceleration then the fluid would most likely be the cause, does it also do it around hard corners?

ok, the first bold, the first and second gears pull harder than any other gear, thus, creating more g-force pushing back, thus, the fluid going towards the back of the reservoir, third gear may not be strong enough to push the fluid back hard enough for the light to come on, obviously it's an on-off, and for the second and third bold parts, before you criticize everyone else about their english on here, check your own, I am not good in english, and I dont use spell check, so dont pee your pants in excitement when you see me misspell a word

Relax, :shades:

They did not say how fast they were accelerating. I could drive a stick, place a cup of coffee on the dash and make it to third gear without spilling a drop.
