Thanks Cruiser! For this piece of info. When i bought my Chariot '98 two years ago, i've already heard about the recall - due to problems with the brake hose.
I never realize the recalls also pertain the other three parts !!!
It's scary !
Malaysian owners of Spacewagon Chariots must get together and sort these out!
Regards, - Chung

mnor & slchung, are your cars affected? Furthermore there's an article in Autoworld then by Chips regarding the recall however he mentioned that USF, the Mitsubishi distributor in Malaysia then never replied his query unlike Honda which did the replacements on ALL affected 1st generation CRVs ignition system incl the parallel imports for free during a recall exercise years ago. My main concern now on the Chariot is the fuel tank and the brake line leak. Since Mitsubishi distributorship now involves Mitsubishi Japan, perhaps they will listen to our grievences.

allen, slchung, mnor and myself all own the previous generation Chariot Grandis so I'm afraid our manuals (if any) will not be of any help to you. My car is not equipped with the Navigation system so can't help you with the MMCS. I believe the clock auto-updates itself fr GPS satellites so you might not be able to set the time at all similar to some Toyota Harriers that are navi-system equipped. As for the radio, just go to any car accessory shop and tell them to install a radio 'booster'. With that you may be able to receive some of the local radio stations within your radio frequency. Anw Congrats on the new Grandis.

I managed to change the time on my non-satellite nav Chariot. Just press and hold the mode button that cycles the MMCS display mode between trip computer, air-con, tuner, md, etc while on the trip computer display mode. Then you'll see 2 pairs of "+" and "-" appear on the bottom right of the MMCS display. A pair for hour adjustment and another pair for minutes adjustment. rgds

The mode button is the one that changes the LCD display thru trip computer -> FM -> aircon mode. To adjust the time on my car, while on aircon mode, I would press the 'mode' button and the display will change to trip computer and an additional prompt will appear on the bottom right of the screen. Select the rightmost prompt and I will get the '+' & '-' signs. Let me know if you still have problem with it. rgds

If I were in your shoes, I would consider installing a piggy-back ECU like E-Manage to retune the engine. You may even gain a few hp after dyno tuning. Seems now your engine is running rich for some reason but no 'Check' light rite. I stay in Shah Alam near Glenmarie but I have never been to Autochild. I send my car to Sunway. I am itching for an ECU tuning myself.
