I have been trying to change the keyles remote settings by following the manual instructions for my new 2006 GT. As it is set now, I have to press the lock button on the remote to lock the doors and then press it again to toot the horn as verification. According to the manual (page 3-9), you should be able to set it to one of 3 differetn modes. One would lock the doors AND toot the horn with one press of the lock button. It says you will hear one "chime" when they settings is done. I hear nothing and cant get the settings to change when I following the instructions.

Anyone else know what I am talking about?

i know what you are talking about i did it, you hold the lock button down for 5 seconds and as you are holding it down press the unlock key, you will hear a beep from your car and that will let you know that the change has taken place

I tried that and nothing happens. I think there is something wrong.

Do you hold the unlock button down or just tap it while holding down the lock button?. The red light on my remote flashes twice when I try to do this but I dont hear anything chimes and nothing changes.

you just press it i believe its early so i dont feel like going down to my car to look at the manual, but i believe that you just tap it after holding the lock button down for at least 5 seconds
