If the light is blinking, then you have a bad or no connection to the strut actuators or a bad strut/s, I'd check the electrical continuity first. On another note; I'd like to share something that I learned today. My ECS was out for two days and was automatically set to hard. The first thing I did was listen to see if all four actuators on the struts were working and they were; you can here them. But what I noticed was that when I switched the ECS from "sport" to "tour", the tour light did not come on each time. So, I figured a bad light filament on the "tour" lamp. I checked the switch w/ a meter and it was working fine. I went ahead and replaced the lamp (had to get it from Mitsubishi for $7.89). When I replaced the bad lamp, the ECS worked again!. So, if one of the two lights (tour or sport) are out, then the car will drop to hard. Replace the lamp (if out) and you will complete the circuit; it will work again. I'm saying this incase anyone runs into this problem or knows of someone with this problem. It was interesting to me. I bet some dealer somewhere screwed someone into purchasing new struts at $200.00 a pop when all that was needed was a little light bulb.
