Hi,
I have a 97 - 98 imported Chariot Grandis which is giving me a little grief.
It has gradually over the last couple of months started to slightly mis-fire whilst climbing any gradient. It is also struggling to idle and hunts between 700 and 1100 rpm. If AC on and lights, then the condition obviously worsens to the extent of bringing up the oil lamp. Not sure wether the 2 events are related, but seems like a coincidence. The frustrating thing is it sometimes idles fine, although rare. Condition also seems to worsen when the engine has been running for a while.
Any related advise would be welcome.
Apart from that, we enjoy the car. Even if we can't understand the MMC the graphics are nice !!!

Hi
I have an import '98 Chariot Grandis 2.4L GDI with a similar fault. I may take it to Mitsubishi to plug their diagnosis machine on, unless anyone knows of a better place (in Auckland).

In my case, at idle it sits at about 700-800, hunting slightly, unless I turn on the aircon then it drops. Under load up to 2800rpm it sometimes runs rough, misfiring and almost sounds like it's too advanced. But it sometimes runs well. I hate intermittant faults!!
