My car is currently dead. I've got a 94 3kGT. I was driving down the highway, i noticed my speed was decreasing and the engine was running a little hot. I switched lanes and downshifted, and as soon as i did the engine completely died. it did not seize, it just lost electrical power. I made it to the side of the road, popped the hood and saw the coolant burning off. I tried starting it again, but the most it would do is click, and not even turn over. Anyway, two mechanics and a new engine later, i still can't get it to start. As it is right now, it seems that the fuel pump is not getting power. my mechanic thinks it might have somthing to do with the alarm. I don't have the key fob though. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the alarm? I'm thinking of just ripping it out. I did some searching and someone mentioned a silent alarm, does my car have one? Also, anyone have any ideas why it won't start? I'm willing to do anything at this point.

Check your battery terminals and make sure they're clean. Check the charge of your battery. Will the car start when you jump-start it? Check the alternator to see if it's charging the battery, if not, replace the alternator. If alternator is putting out a charge but the battery is not charging, replace the battery. Your car's not dead, you just need to kick it in the nuts.

To turn the alarm off insert the key into the driver's side door and turn it to lock/unlock. This should deactivate it.

let us know how it turns out.
