i was looking to get a boost contoller for my 1G, but loooking at them, it looks like you can make it yourself!

to me it looks like a brass elbow, 2 brass nipples and a adjuster to control the boost

has anyone made their own or am i missing something?

yeah, you could just buy a 59 cent aquarium valve too.

But most of the time you get what you pay for. If you made your own valve watch closely for spiking.

Also, I'm not a big fan of manual boost controllers. they leak by design. boost leaks are bad. put two and two together.

i didnt make my own but i did buy one off ebay and when i got it i laughed my a$$

off. it consist of a brass Tee, 2 brass thread in nipples a bolt and nut to adjust the

boost and inside the Tee was a spring that you would find in a click pen and what

looks to be a beebee but a little bigger. i cant say anything bad about it cause i

works great. i spent $10 for it, and it doesn't leak at all. and i agree with red97gst

i would rather have a manual boost controller than a computer controlled one.

eh. it takes a minimum of 3 computers just to start my car. Why wouldn't I want what I'm letting control my air/fuel ratio and timing also control my boost? They all have to work together.

In the end I hope to have AEM hooked up to all of the above.

I also don't wany any boost leaking out of my system. even if it's by design. Plus, manual boost controllers open wastegates before they have to be opened. I also want that power. I'm greedy.
