I'm considering buying a 4G as a replacement for my current 98 GS-T. Drove it and liked it and love the new look. However, was curious about a few things that the dealer was unable to answer for me. Hoping someone here can help.

++ Is there a way to get the Rockford system in the GT to display track title and info when playing MP3s?

++ The window sticker indicates that it is a 9 speaker sound system. 8 plus the sub. I only counted 6 plus the sub. Two in the rear, Two in the doors and two in the front. Where are the other two hiding?

++ The maintenance schedule indicates that for normal driving it only requires that the oil be changed every 7500 miles. That seems a bit lengthy for a car of this nature. Also noted the suggested 5W-20 oil which if I'm not mistaken tends to be only available in synthetic or synthetic blends, but there was not mention of requiring a synth oil.

++ Any updates regarding availability of oil filters for this car? I would prefer to do the changes myself, but a few calls to local parts dealers have no filter listings in their systems for the 4G.

++ What has current owners experience been with the tires on the GT. I'm not a big fan of goodyear and it seemed like there may have been a little bit of understeer which I would assume is tire related. Has anyone found a better tire for their 4G?

Thanks for your help.

1. No
2. The Rear Speakers are component. Mitsu counts them twice.
3. Synth oil isn't required. They may be talking out of their **** on that one...dunno for sure.
4. I haven't seen oil filters yet, but I'm sure you can get them before long. Unless they have some abnormal filter that allows the above mentioned 7500 mile oil change.
5. The Goodyear tires aren't that good. If you want better handling, get better tires. The tires were even mentioned as an issue in the car and driver review.
