QUOTE(TTAngel @ Nov 2 2005, 04:48 PM) QUOTE("eclipsed4utoo") highway roll races aren't as harsh on the clutch as races from a dig. ok....? he said he was putting in a new clutch this winter. I was telling him "good luck," not "hope your clutch holds." Just so there is no confusion this time, this is what a pink dancing elephant looks like. :460: :o holy crap batman! i always wondered what a pink dancing elephant looks like :o and as far as highway races from a roll... listen fucker, i'm stuck with wrong wheel drive, i need to take pleasure in whatever i can and here is a dancing banana

So I figured I'd post a pic or two. on the left is the stock 9b. It's the same size as the DR500s I'm running now, the compressor is just a tad bigger in a bored out housing. on the right is the PT-61. The other pic is my engine bay all taken apart. We are making custom headers, 'cause unlike the eclipse guys we can't jump on the internet and buy everything. :( That's all I'm posting about this winter's set up. The rest you'll have to wait for. 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile. whatever. I'll give you a run for your money in my piggy. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(eclipsed4utoo @ Nov 21 2005, 03:39 PM) 9b? holy **** thats small. i didn't know the stock stealths came with such small turbos. heh. yeah. that little turbo is what holds us back. that and there are no easy upgrades for it. I forget the CFM they put out, but on the 6g72 with 8 to 1 compression two of them only holds 9psi to redline... completely useless. we also have the smallest intercoolers known to man. it completely amazes me that the tt stealth/3000GT can make almost 400 hp on those! The car really should have come with two 14bs from an eclipse on it. then we would have given the supras and rx-7s and 300zx's a run right from the factory. But mitsu was to concerned with feeling the power instantly and having craploads of torque at 2,500 rpm. *sigh*

I just remembered this thread. so I'm gonna bring it back from the grave and ask if anybody hit/or is still on track for there goals? I'm a bit behind. :( I have finally finished the headers, and now am waiting to get the piping coated. Then I will move onto final assembly, and try to fit some radiator fans in a 1 1/2" slot... boo. Then I will drive it around and see if anything leaks/starts on fire. After that, it goes down south for a professional AEM install/tune. I won't take the chance of messing up my engine with my own AEM tune, when there are professionals that have a better grasp. piggy-backs I'll tune. Full stand-alone. no thank you. especially seeing as everyone I know running AEM either hates it or loves it depending on the tuner. pic of ALL the header/exhaust/intercooler piping attached.
