Hey all,

Just wondering, has anyone added a turbo onto their stock RVR engine (4G63)?

I am fairly confident that I should be able to pick up a small on for cheap from a wreckers (a TD04) or maybe even a TD05, but am not sure if the engine internals would handle it.

If anyone has done this, what boost were you running? 4psi? 8psi? Any recommendations for other cheap modifications (I'm going to give it a 2.5" straight through, and a large k&n pod, just for noise factor ;) ).

Also, any recommendations on what kinda mags would fit on this model/year? I would be happy with the stock-standard ones that come on the new RVRs, if they would fit...Also can anyone (from NZ) recommend a shop that does the exhaust systems for pretty cheap, but does them well?

Cheers for any help/advice etc.

Oh, and yeah, I know it is probably not really worth adding a turbo to this engine, etc etc, but right now I can't afford to swap the engine out, and hopefully by the end of next year, I'll have enough cash to buy a 1998-1999 turbo RVR :)...(yes, I need the space an RVR provides, and I like the fact that the turbs have evoIII running gear)
