my 2002 mitsubishi mirage de coupe jerkes forward and makes a loud bang noise when it shifts . it has an automatic transmision. It also stalls out at stop lights sometimes . can anyone tell me what the problem might be.

my mate used to have a ford laser front wheel drive that did the same thing when shifting up. as it turned out we broke one of the engine mounts when doing roll-backs. for the stalling- have you checked the idill???

if engine mounts ok

a clogged oil fiter or busted cogs or bearings can give you the same result

take the pan off and check the magnets and oil filter before spending a heap of
cash :banana:

then if still no sign a diagnostic needed
