Hello everyone , my name is Bob and i have a prob with my 3ltr v6 Pajero , after the car stopped on me and the checkengine light came on i have replaced the air flow sensor but the light is still on and the code is still the air flow .
had the auto elec bloke looking but couldn't find the intermittent problem with starting , it's driving me mad , it won't stop alltogether so i can have the prob sorted but i can't rely on it to start everytime , disconnected the battery to cancel the code but the light still comes on again after a short distance , when it starts it runs ok accept for the fuel guage that seems to go down pretty fast .
Can anyone give a clue as to what else to try .
Thank you

You need to get it into a garage where they plug into the ECU to identify the fault codes. If you don't do this you will get into an expensive part swap routine which will leave you broke and frustrated. I havn't experienced a problem like this but by reading past entries in this forum it is a common trend.

I know this is an old one but I will add my experience to this... had my car in for a service at the local Mitsubishi dealer when they cleaned the air filter a moth got between the filter and intake pipe leading to the actual T/B but luckily the moth got wrapped around the wire sensor just inside so once the moth was removed the CEL went off and car drives like normal - it is one of those things that should of never happened but it did -
