The last three times I've pumped gas, all at a different station, the gas will shut off while I'm pumping unless I squeeze it very lightly, and then of course it takes forever to fill the tank. It's as if it's telling me the tank is full even though it's not ever close. My gas gauge is working fine, I just have this problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this? I'm not looking forward to winter if I'm gonna have to stand there lightly squeezing the gas in the cold!

The tanks just have poor venting, mine does the same, just don't insert the pump all the way into the neck. that seems to work for me until about the last 8th of a tank then I have to gently squeeze the handle as you stated.

This is still happening, regardless of how far in I place the gas pump...it's quite annoying.

I'm not sure, mine hasn't really had a problem since the weather has got cold, it does still happen once in a while but I just deal with it.
