of course it will fit....its the same engine bay. but you WILL have the make modifications. if this list doesn't make sense, you need to learn more about cars and engines.

What do you think im doing here, looking at porn? LOL!!!
It did make sense after I looked at it for a while, but I just wanted you to tell me yes or no. I wonder how much it would cost to make the mods, and the new engine. That would be way down the line.

Can I ask how you learnd so much about cars?

ive been on an 3 different 3G eclipse forums for 2 years now. we all the knowledge that other members brought to the table, i was able to learn alot about this car.

the general consensus about doing the V6 swap is that its not practical. Yes it can be done, and the mods might not be that expensive. But the 4cyl engine is one of the best engines Mitsu has ever built. It ranks up there with the 6-bolt 4G63t and the 6G72TT(in the vr4). For the amount that you would pay for the engine and v6 swap, you could do a custom turbo kit with the 4cyl and be putting down 300whp easily.

so most people who do have the 4cyl actually would rather keep it than switching to the V6 b/c its much easier to mod.

Where would I go to see what mods you've done to you car?

I thought Mitsubishi had a Chrysler engine in it?

My friend says her engine is staring to go out at 75K miles. 2000 to get it fixed?

I do like your rims on your car. I have a pic on my profile. It only let’s you put one on at a time right?

Mitsubishi used Chrysler engines with the 1G/2G b/c they had a partnership. The partnership ended in like '95. The 3G uses mitsu engines.

my car has 87k miles and its running great. It all about how you treat the car. I treat my car like royalty, and i don't have problems. I've heard some guys blow there engines after 25k miles b/c they were out racing and constantly hitting the redline.

You can look in the image gallery on this site and i have more pictures of my car.

mods done to my car:

Panasonic MXE CQ-C8400U Head Unit,
Windows Tinted 27%,
GReddy Evo II Exhaust,
Injen CAI,
18'' Konig Verdicts,
225/40/18 Yokohama H4s,
KYB AGX Shocks and Struts,
Eibach Pro-kit,
Powerslot Rotors,
Hawk Pads,
XtremeVision H4 Headlights,
XtremeVision H1 Fog Lights,
Wavmixer Hose Kit,
Euro Clear Corners,
Black Taillights with Chrome ring

the completely stock 4cyl engine will stop making usable power at around 300whp or about 14-15psi on a t3/t4 turbo. one guy dynoed his 4cyl at 307whp/309tq at 13.7psi. another guy dynoed his 4cyl at 19psi and made just 312whp. as you can see, there was no real power made by upping the boost from 13 to 19 on the stock engine.

reason? the stock cam profile can no longer keep the valves open any longer to make any more HP. when most people upgrade the cam, they go ahead a rebuild the engine.

but you can easily get to 300whp and that would probably be plenty. that would put you dogging Evos from a roll.

you also can get about 500 ormore out of the v6. itll take ALOT more money, and plenty of dyno visits, but it can be done. A turbo alone at 15 psi will get you 459 hp and if you add a custom CAI pipe for the turbo, and get new cam gears and little details like that, you can make it own...

i know guys that have had the 3g eclipse for 150,000 miles and working fine (they travel alot) but yeah as eclisped4utoo said, you have to treat it wll, no drag racing like i do

but thats not on the stock engine. i am talking straight stock engines. once they are rebuilt, there is no real limit to how much power you can make.

around 300whp for the v6. the pistons won't be able to hold above 10psi. some guys that are running 8psi are pushing about 280whp and other guys running 12psi are pushing about 320-330whp. so i think in the middle is a good estimate. running 12psi on the stock engine is not recommended. some guys are doing it just to see how much the stock engine can take and for how long. these guys are just waiting for the engine to blow. if you are not looking to rebuild your engine, i wouldn't run more than 8psi on the stock V6 engine.
